G.rosea i think male ?? need opinion

i dont know if these methods are accurate for sexing a G.rosea, but i found them on youtube.............1) it has a smaller abdomen like a male 2) it has a pinkish color to its carapace like a male 3) it doesnt have hooks tho .... but is that only becuase its not mature ? will an immature male still have the hooks on its front legs ??? 4) it Does have the black bulbs on its pedipalps, i heard that only males will have the black bulbs on the end of there pedipalps ??........... the main reason i think its male is #4, thats why i think its male. am i doing this wrong ???? but if its not mature and doesnt have the hooks on its front legs yet.... then why does it have the black bulbs on the end of its pedipalps ???? does that mean its definatly male ??

Males do have smaller abdomens than females, but they are also more leggy and are much less robust.

Doesn't necessarily mean it's a male, although males do tend to be more brightly colored, plenty of females will have a pink carapace as well.

Only mature males will have the tibial hooks on the front legs.

Are you sure you're seeing enlarged pedipalps with bulbs? Only mature males will have them..........

You can also sex them from their molts and by looking for a spermatheca..........Google will provide many pictures.

thanks for responding...... i see black bulbs on the pedipalps, it was very easy to see, once i picked up the tarantula it was moving its pedipalps and i could see the black bulbs. do females have black bulbs too but males just have larger ones ??????

well when i looked for the hooks i looked at the upper part of the legs, not towards the bottom, so its possible i missed them, but i think i probably would have noticed them but maybe not, i dont really want to pick up the tarantula again to look, becuase ive held it 4 times in the last 8 days....but maybe i can tell by just looking at it if its legs are positioned to where i can see.

my tarantula has the same colorations and is about the same size as the guy holding the male tarantula in the link u gave me.

well i wouldnt have posted this if i saw the hooks the first time i looked, when i first looked i looked at the wrong spot on its leg. i was going to take a picture but then i looked at the bottom part of its leg and i could see a hook on each front leg. case closed. i guess it wont live much longer since its already an adult, its been in petco for about 6 months before i bought it and ive had it for about 2 months i think, so i dont know how much time it has left.

Has it made any sperm webs?

im not sure what a sperm web is , but it lays web down on the dirt.

When they make sperm webs, it means they're ready to breed. After a while though, they will stop making sperm webs.

oh okay, well i just talked to ken the bug guy, im buying one of his baby rose hair tarantulas as soon as thing cool down with my payee. if he still has them by then. might be a month. i cant get money to buy one today becuase ive been spending alot of money latley. i want to get a baby so it lives a long time. right now he has .25 inch .... but i have a 3.5 deli container im going to keep it in with cocofiber substrate and a hide. he always has G.rosea. becuase since my tarantula has been in petco for 6 months and i had it for 2 or 3 months, thats almost a year. it probably only has a few months left : (

he accepts paypal, so i can order the two spiderlings as soon as my new deli containers get here, i cant use the deli containers i have becuase the holes are too big. then ill have two baby spiders and one mature male : )

i really like the mature male tho i hope he lives alot longer becuase hes a really nice spider i held him 4 times and he doesnt bite.
