Yes, it's a male. The pics aren't clear enough for me to see the operculum, but the size of the pectines alone are enough for me to tell it's a male. | |

| One thing to note when sexing species of Heterometrus is inspecting the ventral operculum or the 'sheild' plate right in the middle at the base of the pectines in males the operculum is in one piece while the female has a split-right down the middle of it. Yes... yours is a male | |
