| I wouldn't be worried emperors tend to do this alot, they'll just wait until prey comes into the burrow and eat. An emperor that stays in there hide is a happy emperor. | |

| Nah, don't worry about it...
Mine didn't come out for almost a year once. (Burrow was against the glass so I could still see it catch food though.)

| I have the same problem with one of mine. The smaller male likes to go to the back of the hide and sleep under the larger male, so feeding is a bit difficult. I hate stressing them out, I know they hate it when I lift up their log to try and feed them. Anybody else have this problem? | |

| @ Emp5- I'd personally just leave them...also, are they adults? If not, they may be getting ready to molt. If they're adults, nothing to worry about, my emp did the same and dug himself out fine. If you're worried though, you can dig them up. Just keep in mind that it's the equivalent of somebody ripping apart your house to see how you are.
@ Patcho... Are your emps also sealed in? Or is there an entrance? If there's an entrance, holding the prey item in front of the entrance, letting it make vibrations on the substrate, will often draw the emps out to where the grab the prey.

| I cut one of those medium size half-logs in half(So..a 1/4 log) and put both peices in the tank to provide more hides(which was kind of useless since they all like to stay in the same one). It has an entrance, but only big enough for one scorp. The small one rests behind the big one, who's always near the entrance.

I know it's hard , but try to relax. Try observing them late in the evening or maybe at night. Perhaps they will show themselves. My Cavimanus was never coming out the first week. Now, she sits in the light at the beginning of her burrow at 10 pm....
