| does anybody on here currently own a Scorpio maurus just asking cuz im looking into adding one to my collection, and just wondered if they make good captives or not. as iv never known anybody with one lol | |

| I've heard they're great in captivity, but I've also heard that they don't live long. | |

| Its a really cool scorpion, they got some attitude do, mine used to follow my hand around inside they cage, but they are really cool scorpions i highly recommend them, just rember they are abit higher on the venom scale then emp and stuff like that.. | |

| yeah i know just thought id see if any 1 knew how they did in captivity cuz if just found one for sale which is amazing in the uk cuz u only really ever see emperors hairy deserts and occasionally an asian forest scorp but thats usually crap pet shops selling them as emps. i think its hard to get most exotics over here in comparison to america, dunno why thou although sating that there are some amazing pet shops that do stock alot of amazing creatures, my favourite i have seen in a pet shop so far was a rhino iguana called spot. | |

| where bouts u live in uk the best shop iv ever found is snakes n adders in leeds n still they only really get 3 maybe four kind of scorps and then its rare lol | |

There is one shop that is meant to be "the best" but I reported them for animal cruelty and also they never have any scorpions in! at most was a pandinus cavimanus and that was housed on sand *faints*

| i would be surprised we have one in leeds called living world it has been nicknamed living dead world guess why, lol they have been closed down 4 times now for mistreating animals along with cruelty and basically not knowing what there doing, i rescued a hairy desert scorp from there, they had it in a set up that was more suited to an emp, it died about a week after i rescued it, ne way they keep opening up all they have to do is reaply for the licence in someone elses name eg (an employees) thats what they kep doing ne way | |
