| I am now the owner of 7 baby scorpions. I initially went to collect 3 but came out with a few more than that. I now have 4 Vaejovis Carolinianus and 3 Euscorpius Italicus............. Just thought I'd let you all know | |

I just so happened to have a camera handy as I was rehousing them so will upload later. Tricky little things to photograph though.

Have fun trying to get pics of them Haha - they're great, thanks again for them. It's difficult getting a photo and it's not helped by the fact I have a rubbish camera. One of the E. Italicus just sat there though which was lucky. That one was definitely not camera shy. Have them up in a couple of hours

| Nothing beats raising young scorplings to adulthood and proceed to breed them. Congrats and good luck | |

| They are tiny. Callum did warn me and even sent a photo of some similar sized ones next to a coin. However, nothing prepares you for something this small when you're used to larger animals lol. I love seeing things go from young to adult and the chance of breeding them in the future is something to look forward too as well | |

| Just a quick question if anyone sees this.
I've done a search but not got the info I wanted but what is the best way to clean up stone brought in from the outside? Basically I have a large stone in my garden that I'm thinking of breaking up to make a more realistic enclosure for my E.Italicus.
Thanks, Lee. | |

| Personally, I'd just give it a quick rinse under the tap. I've been reading up a lot about natural vivaria recently and providing you are collecting materials from areas free of any chemicals/pesticides etc. then you shouldn't have any problems. I have been doing this with bits that I find in the woods and garden for a while now. Others may disagree and say you need to scrub it, boil it, bake it and zap it in the microwave to make sure every living thing that may be on the rock is well and truely dead. Are you going to be building a fake dry stone wall for them? That would look awesome. And pictures of course . | |

| That's what I thought - a good old scrub I'm trying to do something like that - nothing too major though. I usually find what appears in my head doesn't transfer too well to the real world lol. I saw something the other week about them being kept on slate but was just looking out on the garden and remembered we had a large rock, the type that breaks down easily. I'm hoping to break off some suitable sized bits and somehow build them up into a mini wall. | |
