| Not really. Even if they would accept something like you suggest, it would certainly not be healthy for them. Why would you even want to try it? | |

| My local pet stores dont sell pin crickets or baby fruit fly's and i was having a hard time finding really small live foods for them to eat. i dont think fruits would be such a harm as bread. never the less i got me some pin crickets at a repticon show yesterday, so no worries , i also picked some new scorps up . | |

| When I didn't have small roaches for my little scorps I just took adult roaches and head crushed them. All of them then share the meal. | |

| Baby Emps and Asian Forest Scorpions are communal and will take small crickets or mealworms... you can also cut a large cricket in half and leave it by the burrow entrance... they will find it and mob it...
Bark scorplings are a little tougher since you have to raise them individually... and they will only take prey items of appropriate size...
Cheers and best regards

Tried using cricket's "drumstick"? They might not take it immediately when you put it in but they may take it at night when left undisturbed.

| +1 to Alex.
Out of all scorpion young I've raised. Only H. caboverdensis and C. hentzi have refused mealworms. C. hentzi through all instars I had them for. When given alive ones the Hottentottas would take mealies at 3-4i. All others never refused pre-killed mealies.

| Yeah i had cut off some legs of crickets and left them in there, i had them all together and only a few would take them. now i have separated all of them and some have ate but i ran out of pin crickets that i bought at the show. like i said all the pet shops ive been to dont sell really small crickets or meal worms.? im still keep trying as you suggested gs with the "drumbstick's" | |

| I've always had a Blatta lateralis colony handy when I breed species. It's really useful to breed your own feeders if you're going to breed any predatory species. | |

| Is there no way you can get your local reptile/pet shop to order them in for you? No shops here stock pinhead crickets as they don't sell well and often perish quickly, however they are always available to order. If your local shops can get larger crickets they should also be able to get pinheads.

+1 Of all the feeders I keep B.lateralis and Phoetalia pallida make thw best small feeders, except that pallids can climb.

| Have you tried finding an online source for tiny feeders? There are lots of breeders who are able to ship them. | |

Great post. I guess many will overlook this. For me, i managed to get ahead of my local pet store and went directly to their supplier, a cricket breeding farm. My main feeder is still b.lateralis but variety is always encouraged. You can try callum's suggestion.
