Hi guys

I am thinking of getting a pair of Hadrurus arizonensis from my supplier but I have doubts. Seller told me that it is a hardy specie and not hard to keep BUT in his extensive experience he newer saw Hadrurus arizonensis moult and mating he said is near to impessible.

I would like to know what you guys think on this as I love to raise scorps trough molts and try to breed them.

Thank you

Well I've had 4 females and 1 male and I keep the tank very dry and good and warm, I've lost 2 of the females to mycosis. One of them came in with it and died within an hour of unpacking. The other died just last month. I got the females in December of 11 and they haven't molted. The male I know is sub-adult and I've had him since Jan of this year and he hasn't molted. First time I've had this species and they are proving interesting.

I lost my first one to mycosis as well.

AS for mating them in captivity ive heard it is very hard to do i have no experience with it myself just lots of places seem to say that they are however a very stunning and very active species in my opinion they are awesome to watch for hours each day good luck hope this helped in some way Smile

Thx for the answers. I am just afraid to get them just to see them die as I am very connected with my pets and dont like to see them suffer in any way.

I couldn't agree more. some people say it's only a bug, but they have no idea!!! It's a life and all life is precious.
