How do you tell What Instar you Scorp is?

how do u tell what instar it your scorpion is. I have an emperor scorpion had him/her for about 4 days. Id say it was 3" long

How many times has it shed with you ?

You can't really tell unless you raised it from a 2nd instar, or you have the shed exoskeletons.

yeah it hasnt done anything yet.. i got it from some small pet shop seemed to be well knowledged telling me to use basking lights, calcium sand, cotton in my water bowl and a small water dish and that light didnt harm them. So when i got home i decided to do some research of my own on them and found these forums. Thats where i learned 90% of the stuff he told me was wrong. He said she was a female i just havent been able to get close enough to her to tell.. So o well haha she/he seems really healthy just really mean

I would say that from the first pic, it's seems to be an adult by the telson coloring (Reddish-brown).

To sex it, Callum has done a guide on [HOW TO] Correctly handle a scorpion

and you may combine it with [HOW TO] Sexing Pandinus spp and Heterometrus spp.

Let us know if you faced any difficulties on sexing your Pandinus imperator.

Ya seems most pet shops don't know what they r talking bout. For example. Black light can kill them but when I bought mine all they had on them was black light. I was also told that a sting feels like a gun shot and that sand is ok for their enclosure. Wrong and wrong. Glad you did your research.,

Thanks its finally starting to hold moisture like it should soil is pretty moist but not dripping only problem with is and i didnt think of it when i put it together is the cave on the right is completely round so it cant burrow down into the dirt.. instead shes decided to borrow on top of it under the moss lol
