| Cool scorp! I had never heard of this one. Do you have both the light and dark morphs? | |

| Do they inhabit the same range? I wonder if they would breed together? | |

| Usually when they talk about "morphs" its just the same species from different localities. I am not entirely sure how the genetics work where the light and dark overlap. | |

| Thanks Scorpion. For those who are wondering why the females are in such small tubs, I tend to move most of my gravid females to smaller tubs when I can clearly see the embryos through the pleural membrane. Just makes keeping everything in check much easier. All of the communal gravid scorpions are also moved to seperate containers to reduce the risk of babies being eaten. | |

| Thanks, I didn't know about most scorpions until a year ago. I always kept indigenious scorpions because of their availability. | |

| Nice! I didn't realise that A. bicolors are so lightly colored at 2nd instar. I have a small black one, must be 3rd or 4th instar. | |

| Oooo just spotted that H. saulcyi set up. Very nice shadowfoot!!
It looks just like you've scooped up a rectangle of scrub and put it in a tank. | |

| Thanks Callum. Only problem is that there are three gravid females in there. I will probably have to take everything apart one of these days to find the slings. | |

| Update: Got some more Parabuthus schlechteri from a friend and just wanted to show the difference in the localities. Here is a CB 6i female from Germany and the parents come from interior of Namibia: This is a 7i male I picked up yesterday and comes from the Western Cape in South Africa about 1000km away from Namibia: 3 Adult male Parabuthus capensis that I picked up a few weeks ago: 2i Parabuthus granulatus that just got off mum's back: 2i Uroplectes carinatus that also just dismounted: A curious little scorp that I believe to be Uroplectes lineatus but still has to be confirmed. Here is an adult male, they measure about 5cm: Female with 1st instars: Thats it for now | |
