| Congrats!
One of my favourite species. Be careful with mycosis with these guys.
They need some amount of moisture but too much will get them in trouble.

| I had 4 of these as my first ever buthids about a year ago. They were my first hope for a breeding project too. Unfortunately all the ones I got already had mycosis and passed away before the first female could pop (there are even mating pics somewhere around the forum). Haven't found any replacement since then | |

Haven't found any replacement since then I had a similar experience with this species. The only specimen I had in decent shape was a male. The two females produced for me after a month or so. Unfortunately, the only babies that managed to emerge were stuck together and underdeveloped. I imagine this is from the stress of exportation.

| I know in Asia they're very easy to find. There used to be a lot of them in Europe as well, but I haven't seen any for sale lately.

| I've seen videos of Guangzhou market where these are sold as street food (Scorpion kebab). I once had 6 2i M. martensii but decided to sell them when they reached 5i (2 succumbed to cannibalism) with the idea of purchasing 2i's from the money I made. Now it is hard to purchase them here | |

Seen those too. Pretty nasty thing to watch, for a scorpion lover. I was once searching info and found a "farm" that stated their daily production was around 1,000,000 M.m. These are actually the ones in 99% of all scorpion merchandise (keychains, lollipops, etc.)

| keychains, I got those glow in the dark thingy, friends who know my passion about scorpions almost always give me those during Bdays and other occasions, hope that hey give me money so I can purchase live specimens.
about mycosis, I thought from the looks of an M.m. that it is a bark scorpion that needed constant moisture, good thing I've researched just in time
