my newly acquired scorps

ok i just got my first pair of p.trans last friday.. they say you can determine there sex by looking on the claw.. and here they are.. so i included some picture that claw is visible.. just to make sure guys..

Well, the chela are certainly different sizes. But i don't know which one is the male and which is the female.
I would guess male on top female on bottom, but wait for someone else to confirm before you take my unsure word on it.

i would say the bottom pic is a male and the top one is a female

The pectines are certainly smaller on the top one, so maybe the top one is male?

I think you got that one backwards -- usually smaller pectines = female.

I think I'm going to agree with antmac here. Smaller pectines aside, the noticeable gap between the pectine teeth leads me to believe that the top one is a female (the wide gap in some species is analogous to female humans having wider hips - makes parturition a tad easier).
