| So i originally had 2 emperors together ina tank which were both males. Now one of the males died of natural causes (age) and its been about a year or so. So today i finally got another one from the local pet store which was housed with others. Now i took them both out rearranged EVERYTHING and put them in together. For some reason the original male that has been in there by himself for the longest time, wont go anywhere near the new one. When they come in contact, he high tails it away and runs hard core. The other one comes balling out like some tough punk. Any advice guys? | |

| When I got my set up with 2 and introduced another two I did as you said. I rearranged everything and put them in. At 1st, it did look like some dominance and bullying was taking place. On 2 separate occasions it looked like a full on fight was going to ensue. I just kept an Eye on them and eventually it seemed as if their was piece. Until, one day I assume a fight erupted while I was away because when I checked on the enclosure before work, I saw one P. Imp. massacred. Tail off, body in 3 and a missing leg.
So I guess what I would recommend is keep an eye on them. All animals will most likely show a display of aggression but usually with P. Imps., it turns into a mutual respect. I would say have at least 3 hides (even though you only have 2 P. Imps.) and hey. Sometimes it just doesn't work, I'm sure you'll do fine though. | |

| Ours did the same when we introduced our female to our (now dead) male, she was the dominant one and he used to run away just like yours this went one for some time until they finally settled down and used the same burrow, much to our amazement, they still had the odd tiff no and then but nothign serious, unfortunatly he died from old age too, so now we are loooking at getting 3 more to add in with her as soon as we have some spare money so will be interesting to see how she reacts to that lol And as Bedlam says always have one more hide than you have scorpions this should help a bit, just keep an eye on them if they really fight quite bad and start injuring each other you will have to seperate | |

| Yeah well it think it was the pets store fault for this. As soon as he entered the tank, in mid fighting, he paused and took a long drink in the oasis ive made in the side of the tank...Then he fought and came back for another drink...As well as when i offer him a cricket with the tweezers, is attacks like its his ONLY chance...ive never seen such feroicity in emperors...Its crazy...He cuts them in half when he grabs a hold of them...Its AWESOME!! I gave him the nickname "Slippers" | |

| When I received my P. Imps. the 1st thing they both did was hurry straight for the water dish. They both nearly drank the whole thing up. Same with the next two I purchase. Now they barely come out of their hide... which I now know is a good thing. Some of my P. Imps. share hides and they walk around all over each other so I'm sure you'll be fine.
My pet store horribly housed my P. Imps too. It was a small 6 inch by about 3 inch container with both in it. The substrate was news paper and they had no hides and a sponge. Monsters...

| Uhhh well for the last week or so, they are now living on opposites of the tank and havent moved as far as i can tell...so im not sure yet...I do know that normally it takes 3 days or so for the new addition to start eating crickets, but about 3 hours later, i offered him one and he took it at such speeds that he ripped the legs off... | |
