Yeah i am going to keep her even though she isn't exactly what i wanted. I am just going to get her a mate and in 18 months max i will have my own scorplings instead of having to rely on pet stores to give me the right scorpion.

You may not need a male -- being an adult WC, there's a good chance she's already gravid (so long as she isn't too old, like my first female was).

By the way, who sexed her?

A place called cybills sanctuary sexed her orignally but i have had my doubts i would have posted a pic of her pectine and organ but she has been very aggresive and i don't want to bother her to much. If she is a he, i will be upset considering i already gave her a female name hahaha . But if she is a he i will post the picture after i sex her, i already have a name picked out if they did some sort of terrible thing in giving me the wrong age aswell as gender.

The next time she's glass dancing just look at her underside, between the pectines is the genital operculum, males have an oval shape and females have a heart shape, with the tip pointing towards the rectangle... thing.

It might be better to get a photo of her glass-dancing and compare it to the picture in the emp / het sexing thread.

Ok so here are some of HIS photos... so ya i am pretty sure they didn't do a good job of sexing the scorpion.

Either that or they saw something i didn't.

I would say from the second to last one that is it a female, some of the other ones look it too, but its hard to see at certain angles.

Yeah the container i am using to take photes of him or her in keep reflecting back the flash and when i took one in the light it ggot all blurred. I guess i will have to grab him/her and get my friend to take a photo of him/her without being in a plastic container. These photos were a lot more clear on photobucket.







Ok i fixed these up so whats the final verdict on my very sexually confused scorpion, i am personally on the fence. Just like the scorpion.

I'm really leaning towards male. Where's Thaedion when you need him?

Yeah thats what i mean. I guess i could pull it out of their in my hands and hope it doesn't tag me. Because for being and imperator, the thing is really aggresive.

Yeah i just took him out and put him in my hand and looked through my fingers, I am saying male so i must change the name of this thread.

I am going to wait for word from Thaedion but i think you are right. But anways I changed the thread name for now. As you can see his new name at the moment is Herman.

I would agree with you Mike... it is a male for all the reasons you noted... the couple of pics the LOOK female are just distortions from the plastic (there are embosed letters that are distorting the image)

Thanks Thaedion and also everyone else for helping determine what my very confused scorpion is. Yeah it's not to difficult to change the thread name just go into your first message subject and pull the switcharoo. I figured Herman was a good name for this guy considering all the confusion around his bits and pieces.
