Cleaning an Emp Empty
PostSubject: Cleaning an Emp   Cleaning an Emp Empty10/23/2011, 1:53 pm

My boyfriend and I are new to the scorpion world and at first we put sand in his tank which we are now seeing is a bad idea. There is sand stuck all over the little guy. We are changing out the bedding but is the sand on him something to worry about and if so is there a good way to clean him off?

It will come off eventually. May even come off if he gets in his water dish. When I first got mine the previous owner kept her on sand but it all came off.

Anna is right.

Most if not all scorpions clean themselves from time to time. It's just that we might not be there to observe when it happens.

If you're lucky.. can even see a "Bubble bath" taking place..

+1 to previous posts, as long as there is not too much sand gathered over the booklungs, I wouldn't boughter stressing the scorpion with cleaning it, she will eventually do it by herself.

Were you keeping it on sand? If so, you need to read this.
