| Hi scorpion people
this morning, i spend a few hours looking around the local scrap yard, in search of any items which i could use for a planned photoshoot. i found numerous items, specifically car parts; lights, wires, springs and the like.
i also found a few cans, which would make for interesting perspective shots. i found a few coke cans, a very interesting metal can, and a well aged oil can, which caught my attention.
it is all going to go towards a project in school, for GCSE photography. it is entitled "man vs nature"
i wanted to make a set, that looks similar to what i could imagine parts of the middle east to look like. human intervention stopped long ago, and nature took over.
the spiders featured so far are a male Euathlus sp. "red" along with an unknown sex Paraphysa parvula. the scorpion featured is a heavily gravid opisthacanthus madagascariensis, which i have recently discovered is semi-arboreal.
of course i plan to use as many of my creatures as possible. Euscorpius flavicaudis, Grammostola rosea and pulchra, as well as other invertebrates such as Gromphadorhina portentosa will most likely be used too.
here are my photos so far, and of course constructive criticism will be greatly appreciated, as i'm always learning
enjoy

| I like them dude but I feel the lighting is off, I can't really tell you what to do because it's not my work but I'd have tried to use more shade and make things a tad darker, but I guess you can edit it a bit on photoshop or something after. I liked the idea of the coke can that could be very promising due to it being set in the middle east, it shows not just man invading natures domain but western cultures grasp on other cultures. But as the whole it looks very promising and wish you good luck | |
