So I want to get a 2i desert specie

But I always seem to burn my 2i. I need a light for the humidty and temp. So I can't keep it at room temp. what do oyu guys do?
Should I shine a light on a single little delicup? Can't it overheat with that greenhouse effect?

i just have my desert setup in a room where its naturally above 80F everyday and goes down to 70F at night...simplest thing to do as far as I can see

hmm i have molted S. mesaensis at room-temp in small plastic boxes that just stod on a shelf in my racks..

I don't care about temp, I care about humidity.
It's like 80-90 here. If I keep it without a lamp it will be to humid, if I keep it with a lamp there's a chance it will toast.

why not just make more holes ? that way it will have better ventilation? i use a squar box for my smaller scorps where i once a week lightly spray one of the corners in the box.. that way they can go there if they need to.. have worked pretty good so far..

No, it's a basement where no one lives so nothing gets in mother nature's way.

Try to keep it without a light and i'm sure it won't be too humid.
