are desert scorpions more active and entertaining then emporers? or forrest type scorpions vs desert type? is there a scorp that stings its prey ? and eats more often, just one I could have tghats more entertaining.

I think fat tail scorpions look cool !

Desert no question!! The Parabuthus and Hottentotta genus are my favorites, and the Androctonus sp. as you mentioned. the hottentotta will readily sting their prey. My p. liosoma and a. bicolor do sometimes if their claws don't do the trick Smile Desert sp. are more entertaining IMO, unless you get a forest sp. of Centuroides(bark scorps) hope this helps!

Cool, you have them ? are there pics up ? and is there a webpage or something that tells me the name people call them with the latiN name beside them? I looked up every scorp u meantioned and find som of them hard to tell apart. Im a scorp noob.

yes, i have them.. i'll try to post pics tomorrow. if you'd like, i can email them to you.
here are the common names for the species i just mentioned:
Parabuthus liosoma- african black tip fat tail scorpion
androctonus bicolor- black fat tail scorpion

just browse the forum, its better to know the scientific name than the common name.
if you're a beginner, i would not get any of the parabuthus or androctonus for your first desert species. get a desert hairy scorpion and get some experience with them first before you move up to the higher venom scorps.
