Molting? Empty
PostSubject: Molting?   Molting? Empty8/14/2011, 4:53 am

Hi, I'm wondering if my scorpion may be molting. He/She has been hiding under his (just going to use "his" as a broad term to describe my scorpion) log for a little over a week now, not coming out for food. He is almost always out during the nighttime, which is why I ask;

Could he possibly be molting? Pictures of him;

Just curious if you know the animals history? Was it around others? Have you had it solo for a year, raising it since 2i? What? That would lend a lot of help in knowing or estimating if this animal was gravid.

I doubt it, the scorpion is very small, no larger than my top pinky limb. I've had it for about 7 months and it has not grown at all, only these last 3 weeks has it been fat. As far as behavior, it's outside of its bark every single night. Mostly just hangs out for the majority of the night.

I ask this question because he has not came out one single time these last few weeks.

Where was it collected. It looks like some sort of Veajovid species to me. Most of them are pretty small. I have two gravid P. boreus that easily fit in a bottle cap.
