| I'm up really early this morning because I have an interview to go to in a few hours and my B. albopilosum is molting! She's webbed up the bottom of the substrate. I even got to see her do the initial flip!! Hopefully I'm going to be around for the whole thing. Unfortunately, I can't get that great of a picture of her. If I figure out how to with this cam, I'll be sure to post it. This is the second time she's molted in my care. I noticed her abdomen getting fatter, but I thought it was me feeding her too much or something.. but I guess not! Here's a pic a couple days after her last molt: I'm so excited! | |

| Oh I'll definitely have pics! I'll have to take pics of her excuvium to see if she is actually a she Hopefully it's a good molt. She's got some humidity down there, so I would assume she'd be alright. I hope that cricket isn't in there anymore. I'm going to check again b/c it's worrying me. | |

| Roughly 3-hours in and she's starting to come out of her excuvium Hopefully she's done before my interview. I'm anxious to see how big she is! Btw, I took the cricket out earlier because I was a bit worried that it'd start chomping on her. I threw it in with my Bothriurus sp. and it took it right away | |

| She's done molting but her excuvium is blocking the view, so I can't see her But I'm glad it went OK! I'm outta here | |

| Nice! They like to block the view just to make things difficult. Just wait until she does "housekeeping" and throws it out of the burrow for trash pickup (you). | |

| Haha well I've done the "housekeeping" myself. I was VERY careful with her when I was moving everything. I transferred her into a plastic shoebox that I had previously had a scorp in (got a new KK for it). I replaced the peat moss substrate with straight coco fiber (the drier, bagged kind). She seems to be doing fine as she is grooming herself now | |

| Awesome glad to hear the shed went ok. And pretty good you saw the flip over too.
I know ours have abdomens fit to pop when they're due to shed. We go through a phase where we have about 3-4 shed within a couple of days. Have a couple of quiet weeks then a few go on one again! Always nerve wracking as you hope they will make it but you have a lovely fresh looking T at the end

| Ya, it's always pretty sweet seeing your T get bigger I just opened the lid to the KK and she ran to the back of the coconut, but there isn't a door there anymore b/c I replaced the substrate and had to wreck everything, unfortunately. I bought a bag of coco fiber and I'm now using that. It's so much better than peat moss when you go to wet it. It all goes down into the substrate right away instead of forming a big pool of water like with peat moss.. | |

| Thank you I thought you guys might find this interesting, so I took a pic of the excuvae to compare the size. First is a pic of the T next to a tape measure. This pic is from the molt before the last one: Second is the excuvae: I haven't got to snap a photo of her yet b/c she's blocked up her hide and she's hardening up inside of it. | |

| I've seen her once really well b/c I changed the substrate and she was pretty big. I actually had to take her out of the KK and transfer her into an old scorp enclosure for the mean time while I cleaned the KK | |

| Thanks, red I named her Dozer b/c she's always rearranging the substrate to her likings. It's been 6 days. Should I try feeding her or wait another day or so? | |

It's been 6 days. Should I try feeding her or wait another day or so? i know what ya mean of how they are always doing something different with their tunnels. All of the ones i had before were just like that. Another T that is good for doing the tunnel changing is the H. gigas. I always enjoy keeping those T's for they dig like moles. bjaeger, you can feed them once their fangs turn black and harden up.
