| so when i got my 10gallon fish tank back from the local fish store that used it to quarantine my pleco that would grow too big for my 55 gallon i cleaned it out good for my bark community. the fish tank has a hood that i abundantly applied insect screen and hot glue to all the possible exit routes i could see and moved the little buggers in. when i was transfering all the barks decor i made a great discovery.there wasnt just 3 scorplings in there with the mom but 11!so she had a total of 27 slings! one sling i had to put out of its misery because it got stuck to the black tape i had around the tacklebox edges.the tape failed to stick on the inside and poor little adventurous sling fell victim to my ignorance. i removed the tape from the inside edges immediately after i found that. r.i.p lil one.im sorry. on a brighter note i have 10 c.sculpt slings for you street! ill get pics up this weekend after i get a background and a little bit more bark to put in it. i think its freaking cool because it has hood lights that are very dim. ohhh im going to move the slings from the tacklebox this weekend as they keep climbing over to other sections. where do i get deli cups from?walmart?frys? | |

| Well its a good move to take them of the tacklebox. I tried and didnt work for me either. I feel your pain with the masking tape accident. Had one too.
Move them into a larger tub all together and feed them well, they will grow faster and will not prey on each other as long as they are fed.
If you take the cricket or deli container route, you have to keep them that way since the scorplings are not used to living communal anymore. THis is where accidents start to happen, I believe. | |

| i have the main viv setup with a pain black background i still need some more bark to line the back and sides but ill get that this weekend.ill post some pics up right now after i take some. i got twelve babies in deli cups.i dont think theyll forget how to live communally as some people catch adults in the wild and put em in their communal tanks.either way thatl be Streets problem to worry about these are his im caring for til the weather cools. the problem i have with keeping the other ten babies in the communal viv is that i only ever see three coming out exploring and killing crix.the others i never see.ill just drop twenty small crix in there once or twice a week depending on how many crix i dont see after the first drop.also ill put two large crix so the mom can have some bigger prey items and ill leave a couple pieces of dog food in one corner so the crix dont think about attacking the slings. | |

| My problem LOL! It'll be just fine. Sounds like you've got a decent system going for the little community you've got though. | |

| You cant do better than that. Taking care of them all individually is a pain though. But i might say they are very happy with that. Dont worrie in communal setups if some never come out. If they are hungry they will. If not they eat a brother or sister. So again, dont worrie! | |
