I do live in arizona and have desert all around me. When will the scorpions start coming out. on Youtube there is a video of a guy saying that he found them w/ a daytime high of 79 degrees... is this possible?

Just buy CB or CBB animals instead.

You should be able to find them nearly year round there. I wouldn't really worry about taking those out of the wild either given their "pest" status in your state. They breed like crazy, grow fast, and as such there will not be any negative impact to harvesting a few of them.

Pairing scorpions is usually as simple as putting an adult male and female together in the same enclosure...Some people like to turn it into rocket science but generally speaking scorpions know exactly what to do and don't really need a lot of help from us.. Wink
If you've tried and had no joy then i'm tempted to think that either your scorpions were not all adult or your female was already gravid.

As for where you can find them i'm afraid i can't help you there apart from to say that you should probably read up on their environment, check if you have that kind of environment near you and then get out there and start looking under logs, bark and stones...It should only be a matter of time before you find the first one..

You would have better luck looking for them at night using a blacklight.
