| I noticed a few days ago that my desert hairys claw is turning black on the lower claw and by the arm joint close to his head... he can still slightly move it but will drag it across thing rather then move it outta the way. He seems perfectly fine does all the same things he did before but his arm /claw is blackish and he dont move it a lot... I read somethings on here about mycosis and things but I don't know anyone have any ideas?? if so thank you soo much | |

| The humidity maybe is too high for your scorp. Id guess it might be mycosis or maybe not. Provide some clearer pics bro for more accurate answer | |

| It can be. Keep it on the warm side of the range. About eighty five F at least, and do not mist the sub. Give it a small water dish once in a while. | |

| yeah never listen to the pet store, unless its like a exotic one, they are the most 'reliable' and even then lol
I give mine a cap full of water once every 2 months, mycosis is unavoidable cause most I mean like 95% of them are wild caught and they get mycosis out in the wild. Mine has mycosis as well, and actually lost a limb from it and he cant even open one of his claws, but hes still doing good.
All you can do is keep it super dry and like I said offer water once a month at most, they get most from their prey.
There isnt a cure for it, all you can do is stop or slow it down from spreading, I have heard of some weird methods of getting rid of the fungal infection, like using vagisil, but I havent tried it. | |
