Gravid??

Hey guys this is my H. Longi. Just wanna ask you guys that is she gravid or just that she is fat because I noticed some white thingy on her sides. The pics are blurry because I used again the cellphone of my brother with low MP so.. and sorry for the glare and the lighting of the cp

naah, it really does look very gravid..
is she with any males?

I dont dare say anything with being gravid or not anymore.. From the experience with Will33. I didnt see any scorplings in his pictures, nor did his Bicolor look fat.. she did however give birth to some scorplings and my still hasnt. So...

I hope for you she is! Cant tell much except the spinalcord is clearly visible

The dark "line" you see in the picture is the heart of the scorpion not the spinal cord.. basicly they dont have one and the heart goes from just behide the eyes to the base of the Metasoma

Thanks for clearing that up (as are prawns etc).
It is easier to say spinalcord as to say heart, which people dont relate to being from head to tail..

Regarding the subject, if it is visible, it is usually a sign of being gravid..

I would say that, because overfeeding will cause the same thing, big fat scorpions will some the heart allso.. Heterometrus and Pandinus can be tough ones to point out as prego, i usealy say the only real way of saying if you can see embryos inside

Exactly why I said I dont gamble on it being gravid.. only tlb can tell what and how she got for dinner

She ate about 4 adult lats this week. It isnt the usual dinner time for her.

She only eat about 1 or 2 adult lats a week and she ate 4 this week.

I hope she is goin to pop soon

She aint. But she is a wild caught one.

Well if she is wild caught then there is a really good chance of her popping at some point

How long would heterometrus spp. pop? How long would it take?
