Every Petco I have been in carries fruitflies, they keep em in tubes by the fridge where all the reptile/frog tanks are usually.............they're small tho.........are your scorplings really that small?

they are smaller than my pinky nail.
i went to petsfart and got some sand and some more coco fiber.got a tacklebox from walmart,poked tons of tiny holes for oxygen,made a mix of coco 30% and sand 70%.the tacklebox has 15 sections the 3 big sections are housing 2 scorplings each.they all have bark in one corner and a lil pile of cypress mulch.the main viv i mixed the rest of the sand with the eco earth that was in there and left a bigger amount of sand on the top layer.
there were 20 scorplings,18 are in the tacklebox and 2 left in the main viv.they did not want to come out of the morphic rock with tons of tiny holes to hide in so i left them in there with momma.

i got the lady at petsfart to catch the tiniest crickets out of their small crickets and she did a very good job.so i have 30 tiny crix.petco says they get fruitflies but they dont get them every cricket shipment.
their next cricket shipment is this friday or next tuesday.ill call them back today and see if they got them in this shipment.

Those are actually larger than I envisioned them.

Actually I don't think they will have any trouble taking down the small crix from petco. That's about how big mu Hottentottas were when I got them.

the one by my finger in that pic was probably the biggest one.i think that one actually ate some of the cricket/worm salad i dropped in their viv.
they better take those crix down or im taking them down!!!!!!
how often should i feed the babies and momma?and if they dont eat how many times should i offer food?

LOL.

Feed momma once a week, and the babies twice. If they don't eat their cricket overnight remove it, and try again in three or four days. If they are fat and don't move except to club with their tail, they are probably getting ready to molt. Also, for the slings I'd recommend keeping a corner moist at all times.

the mom just runs away from the food i offer.i think itd be impossible removing anything from the main viv as there is so many nooks and crannies and venomous scorps to piss off.well theres four in the main viv,3 babies(i found another hide away probably was in a hole with the other two and couldnt tell)and the mom. the crickets in the scorpling condo will be easier to remove for sure.
why are my scorpions so retarded when it comes to food?

Your main tank is large enough that I don't think it'll matter much.

Sometimes they just get difficult. When they get hungry they'll eat. Some of mine run away from their food when I drop it in, but I'll come back later and they'll be munching away.

well they got off the back a couple of days ago.when i posted this thread.the last meal was i guess their placenta on mommas back.
so i go to check on them to see if they ate their meals.
theres 3 scorplings where there should be one,a couple of empty sections and as im moving bark with hemostats i notice one crawling on my hand that doesnt glow in the blacklight.
impossible! tomorrow i must do a full count as to how many are in there!

uhhhh theres two empty sections.im guessing they just arent glowing under the blacklight and are pretty camouflaged with the bark as i can barely see the ones that do glow without the blacklight.no possible exits are found and the tacklebox is in another large smooth plastic tub for extra security..im confused.

oh and i witnessed one of the larger babies dragging around a cricket!
the others still disapoint me and im finding it quite hard to catch the crickets.i hate crickets

seriously, if one eats, the rest will follow. Dont worrie. They all glow under blacklight, means some are not yet fully hardened and ready to eat
