Just picked this up from my boy.
Scolopendra gigantea (South American Giant Centipede) Carrib10
Right now it's about 7 to 8 inches but supposedly can grow to about a foot in length.

Goddamn these things are fast, this bastard almost got out when I threw in the pinkie while taking these pics.
Thought he'd be into the food but nope he just wanted out. I'm definitely double caging this S.O.B.

Put him in a deeper tub for sure. These things can stand up the full length of their body against the side. Looks pretty awesome though. I want a biggie like that.

Yeah I'll def put it in a bigger enclosure but it will have to wait till I get my cast off, broke my right arm about a week ago and unfortunately that's my good arm. So once I can take it out of the sling I'll def do it, the wife wants no part of this thing. Till then it will have to suffice.

Is it already that big?! Scary stuff, I understand your wife!
I'd say 12 inches is about as big as they get yes, that is plain HUGE.

Yeah the wife isn't to thrilled about it.
Infact she's pretty pissed off about it, she don't mind scorps or T's but she said those scare the [hopscotch] out of her. Thats why I'm double caging it (her decision really). Hopefully if I power feed it one day it might be a foot and that would be pretty sick.

Twisted Evil Thanks Wyatt

@ Anthony I actually picked it up from a buddy of mine in Rhode Island. I get most of my stuff off him.
