| I haven't been able to say this in a long time, but I am truly jealous. Beautiful scorps, my friend. Its a shame that we have next to no Lychas species available here in the states. | |

| Thanks for the comments. You guys are very kind @spinnin_tom Hi Bro, Honestly i've yet to count them. I've several setups of Trio and pairs, a few communal setups of gravid females and separate setups of communal males on standby @Envyizm Thanks my friend. You have many rare species at hand which i longed to get as well @kingzy88 As requested, i'll post them shortly | |

Thanks bro. I'm using Nikon kit lens(18-55) + Raynox DCR 250 for these Lychas scutilus shots.

| 18-55?! nice scorps anyway.
Is there anything similar to that closeup lens for saay, 67mm thread of the 18-135? or maybe 58mm for the newer 50/1.4?

| Yeah its a kit lens. I was initially going for a prime macro lens but spent the budget on new scorps additions.. ha so it had to wait.. lolz If you are not picky, close-up lens or d.i.y setups of diffuser can get you decent macro results as well. I'm still exploring the DSLR world.. its an expensive hobby which can really spice up your invert collections For extreme close up e.g. carapace shot of scorps or tiny scorplings. I attached an additional 0.43x close-up lens in addition to the DCR. You'll lose light in that combination and has to adjust your aperture/ISO settings accordingly as compensation. Btw I've seen really good pictures taken with Hoya close-up lens as well.. might be an alternative | |

| I still think Gs uses a macrolens!!! No friggin way it could be this nice with kitlenses.. Was thinking about buying an eos 5d mark 2 but couldnt afford a lens on top of it.. so I'm waiting what the future brings, but still these are great! | |

Its 18-55mm Kit lens + Raynox DCR250. For a higher magnification, i added another close-up filter (0.43x), specifically for pictures of 1st instars, carapace or telson's shot. These combination are cheap alternatives but delivers quite acceptable macro-like results. Thanks for viewing my friends

| Ok cool bro gs, I have seen the price on that raynox around 50 bucks. With that I can take my stock cannon lens onto the new cam and the raynox for macro.
Thanks for the help! | |
