Howdy all, I've noticed something kind of funny about my two emps, Studly and Griffon Spade. When they are chilling during the day they are content to share a hide and a burrow like lovers but when they come out at night, they will fight like mortal enemies. It's the weirdest thing. It's not a mating dance cause it looks like they're trying to kill each other. I have intervened a couple times when it got really intense but other than three or four spats a night they are best friends. What the heck is up? LOL! Thanks all.

hahaha my male and female,Countess and Sidious did that everyonce in awhile too.i think they broke up though.they stay in their own burrows now and have quit their domestic violence.
i broke up a serious looking fight once by throwing a couple of crickets at em.they immediatley both dived into the same burrow sharing the crickets that got trapped in a burrow of doom and love.

When I had my communal setup of P. Imps. I had broken up a few fights too. I even lost one too a scuffle because I was out or perhaps asleep because I would've tried to save the little guy of course. I say keep an eye on them if it doesn't settle down...

Interesting stories all. It's never so ferocious I worry now, just snapping and clapping at each other and scuttling away to the burrow. IDK they're goofy I guess. lol

They eventually made up...the fighting lasted bout 2-3 days on and off. Then they were BFF...well maybe just friends w/benefits considering William died 6 months later and then Harriette had babies just a week after he died. LOL The second video is my adult male (William) and a male juvenile (poor bastard). The store gave me a male juvie instead of an adult female...needless to say....don't ever put a juvenile male in with a adult male ESPECIALLY if you've not rearranged the terrarium. Adult males with utterly destroy any juvie in the territory. Unfortunately I didn't realize the "poor bastard" was a juvie until I saw William trying to bite his telson off....and noticed it was white and well yea...blonde moment. LOL. Thanks for the comments BTW
