Just noticed my emp covered up the back entrance to his log hideout. Earlier he had made a hole there as a second entrance. Do emps ever make trap doors they pop out of like some spiders do to catch prey? or maybe he just wanted to close it up lol. I heard they sometimes move things around.

They are diggers... where they can dig, they'll dig.. and when they're done.. they'll dig some more.. or deeper, or wider or another tunnel. Anyway, when they're tired, they'll relax... while digging

I do not think they make trapdoors, but sure they can and sometimes will use their burrow as a trap? I notice my scorps always with their pinchers outside the burrow and the rest in (and they are no real diggers)..

Yeah they just block the entrance ours does it all the time lol they comes through it when she feels like it lol

Emperors may sit at the entrance of their burrow and ambush prey as they wander by.

I rearranged the cage a bit and included this driftwood and discovered he also is a pretty good climber! He went right up it looked around then carefully found a way back down.

He may have been trying to tunnel, but the back caved in...
