| That is a totally different color morph from my H. hottentotta. Had about 3 broods in the past 3 weeks and none of them are that colorful. Do you know what local those are originally from? | |

| They look exactly like mine. I got them through a shop who bought them from some one in the Philippines. Are yours lighter or darker Chrome? | |

| Chrome that seems to be Hottentotta caboverdensis. They used to be a seperate species, but it has become synonymous with Hottentotta hottentotta. Now it is just considered to be a lighter morph, and an amazingly beautiful one at that. Nice shot! | |

| Caboverdensis was the darker morph though, all caboverdensis i've ever seen are dark. | |

| Well perhaps I've got them backwards then. I know the common name for Hh's is Congo red alligator back. Yours isn't very red, but the darker ones seem to have a reddish hue to them. I do know for a fact that Hottentotta hottentotta and Hottentotta caboverdensis were synonymized a while back. Maybe you have the traditional morph there. | |
