Do your tranfers etc in the bath or if you have one of them walk in showers even better. I do mine in my spare room on the floor. Which is empty and they have no where to bolt. I leave a towel or some scrunched paper and they'll bolt for that. My marshalli slings aren't all that fast. I had to let the murinus out to see the speed and yeah fast is an understatement lol. Might get a pokie after the calceatum and minax =D
I don't mind a lightening spider. I find it fascinating how rapid they are. It's awesome.
Same if I handle one I stay low so there's no chance of a base jump.
