| They arrived alive and kicking, eating and running away from that big pink ape in front of them. So all is good.
For pictures, thing is.. they look like asthenes when they're this young, so its really nothing like the adults yet. Hence no pics :-) I dont want to disturb the little obscurus either. One has taken a cricket when I rehoused them into something suitable about 3x its size. I didnt mean to throw that big cricket in, but it was in a tub with smaller crickets since it went ahole on me before and I put it in with the little crickets.
It accidentally jumped in the scorpions tub and i was ready to remove it, to not let it harm the obscurus. It was not needed, I was too late.
They are not as brutal as transvaal, not as eery as bicolor but damn they mean bussiness too. The cricket was literally jumping with a little tick on its back that wouldnt let go. The cricket died, got hoisted up (they eat and hunt vertically or upside down. Really really awesome) and the tick is swelling up. Nice catch Hercules junior.

| This is an obscurus, not much difference atm :-) Hercules jr let his big [buttocks] cricket fall to the ground. Guess it was too heavy for him. More than he could chew anyway. Az pic.. sorry guys | |

| Its pretty creepy btw. I have 10 tityus in the same containers next to each other, with arranged bark so they have a kind of cave in the center. They usually catch their prey from above and hoist them up. When they eat and you shine a flaslight on it, you can see dead crickets bangling without seeing the scorpion, as if they are flying. Pretty neat when all 10 are eating lol | |

| Rob, you dont have to be.. Urs is getting pretty large, much larger than mine.. and I'm quitting some species because I have a gutfeeling I should take things otherwise :-) | |

I love Tityus, but I'd be hard pressed to get rid of some of my Andros and Parabuthus!! However, there is also something to be said about communal animals, they are much more entertaining to watch!! Cheers, Rob | |

| True, but try it, you can keep andro and para also together.. Just make the tank large enough and I doubt you will be having more trouble with these species than most people have with emps fighting each other. | |

| This is an instar 4 asthenes, two more moults and it will be black like obscurus. To be honest, I cannot differentiate an asthenes from an obscurus at this stage in their growth. They look exactly the same (the obscurus are somewhat more elongated). So I post this picture in this topic since I dont want to make 5 for two species. It has moulted 4 days ago, already started eating again and is getting darker | |

| Its because they love photoshoots that they stare at you this way :-) This is a real Obscurus instar 3. As you can see, it has way longer pinchers and longer "arms".. | |
