Hey all!

Quick and simple question:

Can Tityus Obscurus (formerly known as Tityus Paraensis) be kept together in the same enclosure without problems? Anyone has any experience?

Well, found out my self, but will add the info here, for people who need it in the future:

Found the info on french here!

Quote :
TITYUS PARAENSIS (Now know as TITYUS OBSCURUS):

INFO:

Family: Buthidae - (C.L Koch, 1837)

Genre: Tityus - (C.L Koch, 1836)

Species: obscurus - (Gervais, 1843)

Origin: Guyana, French Guiana & Brazil.

Size: 85 to 100 mm. (3,5-4Inches)

Behavior: Fast and very nervous.

Venom: index 4 / 4 (very dangerous).

CAPTIVITY:

Temperature: 21 ° C to 28 ° C. (Night / Day)

Humidity: 90%.

Water: Misting once a week is a minimum to maintain high humidity.

Terrarium: From 30x20x30.

Substrate: Humus or soil. Minimum 5 cm. (2,5 Inches)

Food: Cricket, locust and cockroach (any of the general animals used for feeding)

Feeding Frequency: Feed every 10 or 15 days for an adult specimen. For small/younger speciments, feed every week.

COMMENTS:

As Tityus silvestris it is often found at the bottom of the awara-plant.

The species of the genus Tityus can live in groups. I often observe Tityus Paraensis (Obscurus) and Tityus Silvestris living in the same awara.

So there it is! A (near) direct translation from french to english. Hope someone will find it usefull (besides me! Ordered 1.3.1 of the speciment Cool can't wait!!! )

i do believe most tityus are pretty good with being communal
as long as they have food or you take out any gravid ones so the cage
mates dont go trying to eat the little ones but those are cool scorps
so you should not realy have any problems as long as you are keeping them in the right conditions
