| It's perfectly normal. Your emp's just exploring the tank | |

| Not necessarily. My emp did that for a week before it settled in. From time to time when he comes he still does it. Probably just trying to explore. | |

| 10g should be fine. Like I said, mine took a week to really settle in. Do you have two hides in there? | |

| hides above ground?no i thought they burrowed under things and that was there hides..? i have two light flat stones of similar size like slate that sit in each corner, the cool side and warm side. theyve burrowed under those.i have a mopani log that stretches across the entire tank.they have burrowed under the cool edge of the wood and under the warm end of the wood. nothing like a rock cave or broken terra cotta flower pot. | |

| something else you may want to consider is goin to pet supermarket... i know i know.... but they have these organic tiki hut things intended for rodents that are healthy for them to eat but i have one of those in my terrerium as you will see if you look at my post of my set up... but both of my emps absolutely love it... they take turns and when the male isnt in it, he sticks to the side of it... hope that helps | |

| yep thats exactly what he was doing. i fed them both and that was the end of the adventures that night..hahaha a tiki hut?hahaha.sounds cool though. ill have to look at your terr.i had a terra cotta pot previously owned by my snake in the female loved it. ill be going to the petstore this weekend for my fish ill have to pick one up and some more crickets and mealworms.my emps suck at catching crickets,i tried the fridge thing but they get warmed up on the way back to my emps.ive been hand feeding em so far cause i dont wanna hear crickets chirping at night.next step is crickets are gonna start getting legs torn off to make the hunt easier.
hmmm so add an above ground hide too?.sounds good.

| An above ground hide will help reduce stress until it establishes a burrow. They like to stay hidden, and digging burrows is time consuming! | |

| As for mealworms you don't want them to get lazy so u could try what I did in crushing the crickets between ur fingers just till u feel them crunch... do it close to their heads it will make them spasm but not run | |

| They seem to like to climb. Give it something to climb on. Just keep the lid secure. | |

| dude, no worries, ive had the same female since i got into scorp keeping (about 2 years ago) and she still to this day tries to crawl up the glass with 0% success.
anytime she does it though, i do open the lid a little bit to get some airflow in there, it usually calms her right down | |
