Today me and my girl walked into her room when she complained of a smell and blamed it on the Scorpions saying one was dead. After I told her it was her "rats" (guinea pigs XD) I went to my tank to prove it. Of course the tank didn't smell and I noticed the tail of an Emp. sticking out from the hide. When I pulled the Emp. from her hide she had 2 scorplings on her back. I just saw them all yesterday so I know this is happening now and I expect shes still in labor.
I got into this hobby back in December 2010, I have bought 4 adult Emperors and all of them have been gravid and gave birth. Lucky me.... So I moved her over to a Kritter Keeper I have and bought some Potting soil and Peat moss. Mixed it together, threw in a hide and now it's time to do this thing all over again. I have 3 Emp Tanks now. One with the new mom, one with 2 adult females who have already given birth and one with about 15 2i babies.
Here's some pictures of the mom and the keeper.
The white stuff is the condensation of warm water I poured into the substrate and the whisked around.
