Time for a new order - need to confirm today :)

So, time has came for new additions.
I've narrowed my choices down to 3

-Pandinus cavimanus
-Babycurus Sp. (don't know the exact sp.)
-Hadogenes paucidens

I know cavimanus and paucidens are not communal so I can forget about breeding these. Though Babycurus are so there's always that temptation to take a pair.

The flat rocks should be quite big lengthwise AFAIK.

Please, give me some thoughts, I would take 10 of each if I could, but for now I can't take more than 1-2.

If you take pairs I believe it is almost irrelevant if they are communal or not. Even Andros get along fine, as long as the tank is big enough and they are adults of the same species. They just co habit in it without aggression.

When you do, you have to keep it that way and dont put other adults in after.

Keep an eye on them in the beginning and you should not lose any scorpion. They prolly even mate without you seeing it at night.

The bigger the scorpion, the more place it needs and usually the less active it is.

You really dont have a preference? Cmon mate, you should! Take what you want, and if there is any problem with that particular species regarding housing or what not, fix it!

Thats the challenge and joy of getting new ones!

I'm leaning pretty strongly towards H. paucidens. You don't see them here too often. I like the colours of Babycurus, but the lately I seem to prefer scorpions which like it drier

Both Babycurus and Hadogenes are impossible to get locally so it WILL be one of these two. Either a Babycurus pair or just one Hadogenes. cavimanus are way too common in the market so it's not worth taking one over a rarer species. In no ways does that mean I won't be getting a cavi later on though .

lol, there would be no thinking about it if it were me, acvs are cool but they just burried away since we got ours, they are messy diggers too lol somehow manage to spletter mud everywhere lol, we are gona try breeding ours soon...aaaaah..., gonna sit up all night to keep eye on them lol.

I was actually gonna ask him few days ago if he can find me b.jacksoni... wonder what got into me to consider H.paucidens.... oh yeah, probably just the size lol

Ok my persuading skills are nowhere near that of bex, I dont have the assetts :-p either but still... Hottentotta live longer! And when they start stinging , they never stop (as is getting kids partho hihi worse than roaches)

Any of the Babycurus are good- from what I've heard of course.
