| Hi all, most of you will know that we got a desert hairy last novemeber and shes extremely shy! She came out on about 3 occasions the first few nights of getting her, after that we never saw her again she had only eaten once since we got her until last night, so 7 months between feeds!  We dug her up a few months ago coz i was worried due to not seeing a supposidly very active species and found that she was fine, she then burrowed away again not to be seen until last night. Was shocked to here my fiancee shouting up to me 'Haddys out, Haddys out!' im like 'reeeeally????' and sure enough there she was, we fed her a crcket which she took straight away got some pics but not to good as it was dark but here they are anyway...         and found my keyselingi sat in her water bowl  | |

| Haha nice one! Glad you've finally seen her out, I'm sure it's because she's due to molt that she's staying burrowed, mines out every night. Definitely ready to pop.
I know it is but hat last pics doesn't look like her lol looks like Caraboctonus/Bothirius. | |

| She wasn't that fat when we got her and she ate one small cricket in November we dug her up in jan/feb and she was huge! So we are thinking a molt Is coming as she's quite small and can't be that fat off one cricket lol that or she's a small gravid haddy lol | |

| Considering that they can live for 25+ years in captivity, I would say that it's safe to assume that they take a while to molt. Nice that you got to see her out though, and good that she ate! I love mine, but rarely see it as well... | |
