| Eddy sent me a "desert wolf spider" sac with my A. mauritanicus and widow slings -- I had no idea how to care for it, and no one on AB answered my question, so I just left it alone before opening it and spotting three slings. I looked again about three days later . . . ^clicky to zoom And a couple stragglers on the lid: | |

| I'll see if I can remember to snap a pic (getting forgetful in my old age). it's leg span is somewhere between a quarter and a fifty cent peice, and a monster when it comes to eating, I gave it an almost adult dubia and it rode it piggy-back till it finally took it down..W | |

| Yeah, now that I think about it I kind of regret not asking over there. I'm still not used to posting a lot there and it always feels weird to double-post threads. I haven't seen anyone molt yet, but they're happily running around their little delicup they're sharing. | |

| ^Makes me think of the time someone caught a tiny spider at work -- I was checking it out under the microscope when suddenly it twitched.
When a teensy spider that's magnified 40x to 80x twitches unexpectedly, it'll make you jump. | |

| Hmm . . . I've never kept adults, so this is a learning experience for me. Try mimicking the conditions you have in your garden (temps, humidity, substrate, etc.). Normally when the eggsac hatches the young scurry onto the mom's back until the first molt (sound familiar? ). | |
