Cheers bro, I've lost count of how many years I've had her now but at least 8-9. That's the one that had to have the unfirtilised eggs removed and be spayed so she wouldn't have any more. I have a male that's much bigger than her who is apparently "German giant" but who knows.

Thanks guys, I am very happy to have him back. Wow, Jamie, beautiful dragon man! I love the bright orange beard and the patterns on her back. Mind sharing some pics of your male? How big is he?

Egg laying box with a sand/cocofiber mixture where she can bury her eggs. Then 50-100 days incubation at 80% moisture and 28-30C.
Worried mostly because they can suffer from egg binding which can be fatal... Jay can tell you more about his horror story..
Sometimes they can lay the eggs out of the box, directly in the hot sand. If that happens, the eggs will dry out in about an hour.

Yep, I know all too well the troubles of egg binding. My girl in the pics previous once produced infertile eggs. I have males in separate enclosures but shes never been in with a male so thought it was very strange at the time. She just couldn't lay the eggs so I took her to the vets. The vet wanted to surgically remove the eggs and spay her so she couldn't produce any more eggs. She also had a small lump on one of her ribs that the vet wanted to remove at the same time. She had quite a major operation, ended up costing me about £450 for a £25 lizard
But how could I not do it and get her sorted out. I'd had her for about 6-7years at that time and she's just always been there. So when the vet said it's either that or a probable slow death I had no choice.
Anyway it all paid off and years later she's still going strong with hopefully many years left.

Very nice story, Jamie! Glad it all worked out for you. Hope the eggs are fertile, Dolby!
Here are some recent pics I took of Twitch next to a ruler. The third pic is the most accurate display of him as the first two pics make him look tiny because of angle and lighting. I think he's ~6 months old because when I bought him at the pet store he was maybe 4.5 inches long. From a growth chart I'm looking at, it takes about 6 weeks to reach a little over 6 inches so I think he may have been less than 1 month old when I bought him. I have had him in my care for 5 months, totaling ~6 months of age for him. I'm not sure how long he is since he doesn't lie flat willingly lol. I hope to get better pics of him and I'd love to own a German giant one day

It's a beauty! Are you sure it's a he? Have you had him properly sexed? Judging from the head shape, it looks more like a female. Glad it's growing properly, the growth of both mine has stalled, a bit. The male had some internal parasite that could be the reason. Now he's finally starting to get his appetite back.
Here's one of our female Kokoshka, finishing up a meal
Nevermind the mess... it's cleaning time

Thanks man. I've only sexed "him" by looking at the femoral pores and the hemipenal bulge. I'm no expert so I could very easily be wrong, but I will take another look at the male/female differences. Sorry about your male, but glad to see that it is behaving more normally. Nice name for your female lol.
Maybe I'll take some pics of his underside and head so you can take a look at it. I'm hoping it's a male, but will be content with a female either way.

Some feeding vids. Just for the record, rodents are usually not their staple diet but they get them 1-3 times a month as a treat for some extra calcium.

What is it with bearded dragons and scorpion keepers
I've just recently gotten myself a male after having a female for the last 3 years and within 2 days of being introduced to her he was already head and body nodding...I haven't seen them mating but i'm hoping they eventually get around to it...baby beardies are soooo cute
I was wondering .. does anyone have a good recipe for a home made incubator?
...and i can see you feed your beardies with mice Dolby..i've never thought of doing that..there's no problems with digesting them is there? .. Mine just get crickets, roaches and some vitamin/calcium pellets that are always on offer (not that they show much interest in them!)
