| that sounds normal...
give it a few more days and try feeding again...
do you have a oic of the scorpion your worried about, it would help to tell if its an adult or a juvenile...

| Sounds fine, leave him alone for a bit - sounds like he's a bit stressed. | |

| There's nothing wrong with your scorpion. All it's doing is being normal. When it's hiding it's happy. It's not feeding because it's not hungry. The less they're bothered the better. These guys are meant to to spend their time hidden in burrows or under hides and not be seen, so just letting you know this is normal behavior. One of my emps didn't eat for months, but that doesn't mean it's in any danger. They're known for fasting for very long periods of time. Like the lycan said, try feeding after a few days or after a week. | |

| 15 crickets a week...that seems a bit like over kill to me... i have 3 emps and they dont eat that much altogether
i feed my 2 adults 4 crickets apiece and my 5i gets 2
so i never go over 10 crickets every 10 to 15 days

| LOL my female emp will eat 5-6 every other day....while my male eats about once a week he will eat ?? I honestly didn't see how many but this time when I dropped the crickets in he caught one shoved it in his mouth grabbed another in his left claw then dropped it grabbed another then caught one in his right hand and never moved out of his spot... looked back a few minutes later they where all gone and he was on the hunt.... so I know he ate at least 4.. but I buy 12-20 each time and I put them in the viv all at once and once I see no more I pick up more the next time I go to town.... | |

| If you stick to about 2 or 3 large crickets a week or the equivalent, then thats fine and it reduces the chance of them gorging themselves and then fasting afterwards as a result.
It could be stressed from being tried to be held - nothing to worry about.
Give it about 4 days or so, then try feeding and by that time he should have settled in and might feel comfortable enough to eat.

| Emps can and will go off food for weeks, even months, also; hiding ALWAYS is normal for most species of scorps except maybe some dessert species like Orthochirus sp. who actively search for prey.
They only need to be fed once a week(1-2 crickets) if you want to see them and not make them obese.
