Its hard to tell, but it doe seem that way. I think it is a longimanus from the length of the pedipalps.

| You probably wont be able to tell until at least its next molt which looks like it would be about 4i. Heterometrus spp. are real hard to tell apart most of the time before adult to the molt just before since the differences are mostly the granulations, other than longimanus that is, but it's too soon to positively ID that one in my opinion. | |

| well this is what Alex said and hes a genius with anything heterometrus so ive been told - LXDNG79 wrote:

as it stands, it can be identified as Heteromnetrus sp. Species ID can only be done by inspecting the granulations on the carapace of the adult form.
Keep posting with every molt... cheers...
But it could be Heterometrus petersii, laoticus, mysorensis or scaber... its unlikely to be spinifer or longimanus due to the shape of the chela... but this is the extent of strictly speculation. So will keep posting with each molt......

| Got it from south east water gardens in sandwich Kent.... It was the only scorp they had ( don't think they normally sell them but they got it from a friend apparently) and I just couldn't go home without it lol
They do look very similar but ours seems more of a brown colour than black I think it's getting reading to molt so will post more pics afterwards
