| It may look like I'am taking over the forum with all these threads but I just want to make sure I get everything right this time lol, If you have seen my tank as it is at the moment then great if not you may wanna take a look under the pics/vids part, I currently have a bulb hanging with a pink disco light in it just to see what it would look like, it is 60w and under it in the basking area the temp is really hot, it has gone past 110 degrees on one of the little round thermometers and on the other side it is only 70 degrees, these temps are with the aquarium lid on obviously but with the food hatch open as if you close it the hole tank just fills with condensation in a minute so i dont think there is enough air flow either, which may have been part of my problem last time I set a tank up, so my plans were to take the food hatch off and cover it in mesh, that would get rid of the condesation? however about the bulb if I got a 40w red bulb from pet store would this be ok or would this read to hot still? I also have a 6x11 heat mat which Im not sure what to do with? help please guys I'm starting to get confused =S lol | |

| Just had another idea, what if I had the two 6x11inch heat mats on the back of the tank then when I wanted to view the scorp at night have a 40w bulb on and turn the heat mats off? | |

| Tried putting both heat mats on the back and tbh they are too small to heat the tank enough, anyone any ideas? | |

| It does seem like you're worrying a lot. Emps are quite simple Temperature 75-85ish Humidity Dont need light but mine lives with a 100w sun light bulb (for the plants ) + a 75w Red Light on other side of the tank (40 gal wide, L36" W18" ) and no light/heat at night So far everything you got sounds just fine, if you want take some pics show off your tank | |
