I just build this terrarium, it's a 75gal. Octagonal tank that I had sitting around the house so I decided to make some modifications and throw in my Emp. This is my first scorpion and just the beginning of his new homes build!
Please leave comments and suggestions *I know I need to clean the tank glass.*

The bulb seen in the picture is not a black light, its an incandescent heat emitting night light bulb. I have a weird thing about red light at night so I got the black version.

this enclosures structure is ideal for housing centruroides species, depending how tight the door fits it.
but i would really wet down the substrate for the emps, false bottoms are cool, but its good to flood it every once in a while.

Yeah i'm slowly working in water into the substrate I don't want to turn it into a swamp though. I am still working on the doors security. the top is tight but the bottom has a little play still. maybe going to try a magnetic catch.

looks great! i agree about the moisture tho, the substrate should be a dark brown, like the bottom layer. overall looks great, beats my plastic sweater box by a long shot
