| The only problem with picking them up by the tail is that it can injure the scorpion where the tail meets the base of the body. Around that area called the preabdomen, it contains all four pairs of the scorpions book lungs as well as most of the digestive and reproductive organs. Also, try not to feed your scorps any vertebrates at all. Mice are very high in calcium and not beneficial to the health of your scorpion. Hope this helps. | |

| The method I mentioned was offered as an alternative for aggressive species in confined spaces that may not allow for the preferred methods mentioned here and was not meant as a standard by any means. Did not know about the calcium content being harmful, thank you. Once again another educational benefit from the forum | |
