| I just did it three days ago, I covered 2/3 of the screen leaving 1/3 so air can get in. Did I do it right? Thanks. | |

| Sounds good to me. That's what I do for my enclosures when I don't have anything to keep the humidity in with. | |

| That's how it's done, but I maintain that this is not the ideal way to raise humidity -- I can never see restricting airflow as a good thing.
If you need to bump humidity, dump water on the substrate.
If you need a greater high-humidity zone, deepen the substrate.
If you need the humidity to stay high longer, implement a false bottom.

| I have a 10 gallon tank with 5 inches of substrate, how much water should I pour on it? Do I spread it around or just put it in one spot? Thanks. | |

| Damp, not wet.
You want it to be like digging up a handful of dirt from the back yard, not like digging up a handful of dirt from a mud puddle.
If you're using cocoa fiber (Eco-Earth) it should be very dark brown / black in color.

| If I have a false-bottom, I'll aim for the tube leading to the gravel; if not, I'll kind of shower water all over the place. | |

| What if I mist the tank everyday? Would that be good enough? That's what I'm doing right now. | |

| All misting does is get the very top bit wet and then evaporate immediately; dump water on it if you don't have a false bottom set-up. | |
