| i just realized that i have about a hundred of the exo from my past scorpion and tarantula molt..
any idea what to do with them ????? | |

| i would keep them! you must have a full record of the growth of a lot of T's and scorps there! i keep all the molts i find. | |

| I used to keep them in a container and mark the date of their molt and instar to keep as record But after having sooo much inverts i just leave them in the enclosure except for big specimen's exo :p | |

| Make sure you replace the cotton batting that comes with the case -- that stuff glows as brightly as the scorps under UV. Black felt doesn't, so you can still demo the fluorescence. | |

| I keep mine in jars in the bottom of my bug cabinet. Haven't found any real use for them other than using them for growth-rate comparison between molts. There's some kind of spray that you could probably spray on and harden them. | |

| ^Fixative / sealant; they make them for artistic purposes to seal drawings and pastels and such (Lori uses Mr. Super Clear on the dolls she works on), but cheaper hairspray works relatively well in this situation (I believe that's what Lisa uses). | |

| I pass any duplicates onto the local schools to add to their 'bug box' so when they are doing bugs as a project they have something more interesting to look at and study And yes I use hairspray to preserve stuff when needed. cheap n cheerful | |
