| I think all you have to do is keep them normally and just feed the female up so shes a bit less hungry and less inclined to eat the male and also when you introduce the male keep a close eye on them to make sure hte female doesnt try to kill him but try not to mistake fighting with mating behaviour as hard as it is sometimes, thats all i know really I've never bred them.
If someone could back me up?

| I have bred them and my female ate two males within a month!
firstly (many moons ago) I was told they were communal.... NOPE! This was back in the dark ages when I first got into scorpions!
so whether the female has a full belly or not it doesn't matter... after mating she will try and kill the male if he doesn't get out of her way. So I would extract from that experience that the females are too territorial for males to be left alone with them.
Sadly with having young kids at the time I missed the mating and the males got chomped on both occasions! But obviously they did the deed somewhere along the line.
I didn't do any conditioning and 20 months later had a lovely brood of 30 scorplings. So long as you follow the advice on the care sheet here you cant go wrong
