lol... they have 6 instars in total and i dont think there are any more in females than males.

Yeah im unsure but read somewhere that females have one more moult then males. Never seen it happen so cant be 100% on that

Connie, there's a few species where females have an extra molt (like B. jacksoni), but I don't believe emps are in that category.
