The pet I am most afraid of...

My Scolopendra subspinipes was loose in his box when he was delivered. My first centipede experience and he was hiding at the lip of the box while I was trying to get down to the container only to find it empty Then he shot out of the box like a rocket, thankfully I was in the garage and I had a 20gal tank to catch him as he fell to the floor.

the only thing ive ever been truely scared of was a seriously aggressive A. australis. the aggression combined with that massive metasoma and the potency..... scared the crap out of me! i was shipping one off to someone and had to pack it up...wow that was a nightmare.

i am pretty much not affraid of any other inverts..... just the crazy, super toxic scorps.

Giant centipedes are pretty intense.

LOL! It's not like they're going to jump out of their enclosure and attack you. And you don't have to hold them either.

So nothing to worry about K?
I'm not afraid of any insect/spider for that matter. If wasps come to close to me I'm a little wary but nothing like screaming and waving my hands around. I had one caught in my hair before.......

i became addicted to pedes as well when i purchased a mutilans a little over 3 months ago.now i am an addict have acquired more than 30 since.even giants like the red dragon,giant vietnamese,mutidens,and even a few of the red tiger legs.they are big time addictive,have fun.

im usualy ok with insects and "creepy-crawlies", but i dont like centipedes. i dont know what it is,there's ujst somethin about them.....

maybe cuz they are one of the meanest inverts you'll ever own

hell yeah...just got tagged by a S. polymorpha for the first time... it scared the crap out of me. It didn't let go . But the venom wasn't so bad.
