First up is my A amoreuxi. Today was his first cricket. I think he'll be ready for a lobster roach next time!

Sweet! I'm waiting on my P. cavimanus pair to mature.

That's the biggest frustration of caring about an animal that no one else does.

Aren't Cavimanus' very similar to Imperators? Hard to tell the difference between the two?

Anyway, pet shops in my country should be burnt down, the sight which greets you the moment you step into the majority of shops is...terrible.

P. cavimanus look a lot like emps, but their chela have a little more of a reddish tone, their telsons are darker, and they tend to be a little more defensive than emps.

If you read my P cavimanus caresheet I explain the differences. The main way I can tell is the granulation on the chela is weird and they have a huge indent in it. Also the telson is uniform with the body.

My favorite scorpions. These three LQs have gone from a pet I was afraid to look at to quite possibly my favorite arachnid. All they do is run around like crazy. I'm switching their tank's spot with my Grammastola rosea's so that I can display them better. Also she's getting ready for a molt so I'd rather she be somewhere I don't disturb her too often.





I took the hides out for the picture and the water bowl was completely dry today so don't worry. They are very well cared for.

Lol I just noticed in the second picture the one on the left's tail is completely covered in poop. Silly, dirty scorpion.

Hey Andrew, can you get a shot of your cavimanus next to a ruler? After looking at my hand, I'm thinking my pair may already be mature -- they just look a lot smaller than my emp (but I might be mentally distorting things).

He's not bad going onto the hand... It's getting him off that's the problem lol.

That's it! No more holding bugs. I still cannot get this thing off my hand... Ugh!

Mine are definitely immature -- my male's only about 3 inches from mouth to telson.
