| The white stuff was the exoskeletons leftover from molting into second instar.
You'll know the next molt is coming when they start getting FAT.

| Those were the old exoskeltons from when the babies molted. They are second instar now it should be a few week-months before they molt again. | |

| Pretty much. Like Mr. Mordax said, you'll notice them getting really fat before they molt. It all depends on how much they eat, temps, humidity, and the scorpion it self.
Oh i wouldnt be surprised if SOME of that white stuff was poo.

| Well babies do leave white poop marks everywhere. Next time you see that that might be it. Yeah, it depends on temperature, food, and stuff. Enjoy them while they're little. | |

| Some people keep the young with the mom and have no problem . . . some people keep all the young together and have no problem. With emperors, it's up to the keeper.
If you keep them all together, you're probably going to have some cannibalism . . . keeping them apart also makes it possible to ensure that each scorpion gets food, but it takes more time to feed and take care of each on an individual basis.

| I have mine still with mum and have had a few deaths but these deaths have just been random. I think it also depends on the mothers temperment. She has been nothing but WONDERFUL with her young...so I have kept them in with her for now...and now they are 3rd Instar.
But no, moulting is never fixed just depends on every other factor and also the scorpion

| oh.. i see...
I separated it cos' mummy's behavior hasn't been good. She kept stepping on the scorplings.
I was so shocked when i saw that happened. Yesterday when i feed the babies , mummy came and snatched and fling scorpie out of her way.
But before that mummy already eaten 2 crix.

| hmmm she isnt behaving very well and good that she is without them. My female would not eat and give them pre killed food...went in live, she would catch it and then usher her babies to it... had another scorpling death. Likely to happen since 32 were born but down 4 now... Anyhoo! | |
